The Analogy Architect is a simple, single-page web app. We keep things minimal — here is exactly what happens with your data.

What we store on your device

The app saves three small items to your browser's localStorage — stored entirely on your device, never sent to us:

Theme preference — whether you prefer light or dark mode.
Usage counter — how many analogies you've generated, used to show a social proof count.
Recent generations wall — the last few topics you searched, shown in the "recent" section. This stays on your device only.

You can clear all of this at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this domain (Browser Settings → Privacy → Clear site data).

What we send to our servers

When you generate an analogy, we send your input text and your IP address (automatically included by your browser) to our API. We use the IP address solely for rate limiting — to prevent abuse. We do not log, store, or track IP addresses beyond the current server session. When the Cloudflare Worker restarts, all rate-limit data is discarded.

Third-party AI services

Your input text is processed by Google's Vertex AI (Gemini) and/or Anthropic's Claude to generate the analogy. These requests are made server-side. Please review Google's privacy policy and Anthropic's privacy policy for how they handle API inputs.

Analytics

We currently use no analytics, tracking pixels, or cookies. There are no third-party advertising or tracking scripts on this site.

Children

This service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the "last updated" date above.
